Kai Tim Mälzer Kamagata: cooking with class

Once again the Japanese knife makers at Kai joined forces with the famous German tv-chef Tim Mälzer. Mälzer designed a complete collection of kitchen knives with the characterizing class brought to you by Kai, for an affordable price. The knives excel in their simplicity on the one hand, and on the other they stand out because of the beautiful and remarkable shape of the blade.

Kamagata: a straight edge

The name Kamagata was chosen for a reason. In Japan Kamagata stands for a specific shape for kitchen knives. The knives from this collection are inspired by it. Traditionally speaking a Kamagata knife has a completely straight edge with a curved spine. Mälzer, however, did make this collection his own. The knives have a sharp tip and a slight curve in the edge. Design meets functionality.

The Tim Mälzer Kamagata collection is comprised of seven different kitchen knives, perfect for almost any task. The showstopper is probably the hybrid chef's knife which combines the best features of a western chef's knife, a santoku and a nakiri.
